Our Mission

Our company mission is to promote health by inspiring people to choose safer product alternatives today to create a greener life tomorrow.


Hence, we provide environmentally friendly cleaning solutions and personal care products that can help prevent chronic health conditions and preserve the environment. As part of our initiative to promote health and awareness, we are committed to providing consumers with full ingredient disclosures so that they are educated of all ingredients in our products.

Our Values


Kems Pure Products is a women-owned brand that values only the safest and most effective ingredients for consumers. The founder spent years analyzing what these ingredients are, how they react when combined with one another, and what ingredients to avoid due to the potential health hazards.


The company seeks out eco-friendly suppliers for ingredients and packaging supplies, does not test its solutions on animals, uses BPA-free reusable/recyclable bottles, and 100% organic essential oils for the most natural scents. All our products are free from the following toxins:

Meet the CEO

Kems Pure Products, LLC was built by a black woman who experienced a real-life health condition for many years.

 

Hi there, I’m Maryam Kasumu MSN, RN, MSCN, a Philadelphian native and owner of Kems Pure Products, LLC. Since 2015, I have explored ingredients in commercialized products after being diagnosed with uterine leiomyomas (fibroids).

 

I discovered that commonly known cleaning products contain chemicals linked to my condition. Some of the previous cleaning solutions I used daily contain ingredients known as endocrine disruptors that offset my hormones and led to the growth of many fibroids. In 2019, I had undergone a myomectomy (surgery to remove fibroids) to preserve my gynecological health.

 

For the past six years, I have done extensive research on toxic ingredients and its effects in the human body. I found potential answers to questions such as “how did my fibroids grow so big to the extent that surgery was required?” As an experienced nurse, I understand the possible health effects toxins pose and wish to decrease potential exposures to myself and others.

 

The idea of creating 100% natural, eco-friendly cleaning products brand came to mind. I launched Kems Pure Products, LLC in January 2021 shortly after being the NCNMO Afropreneurship Challenge winner.

 

In a short time, I have been able to take the company to new heights and encourage people to start an eco-friendly lifestyle by promoting a healthier journey. I hope my story and company will inspire others to detoxify their homes by using safer, all-natural cleaning solutions (that smell AMAZING) today to create a greener tomorrow.
